The estimated population in 2011 was 25,989. Fluvanna County was established in 1777. There are 14 historic sites within the boundaries of Fluvanna County including the Old Stone Jail in historic downtown Palmyra. Fluvanna County just recently added a new high school to accommodate the growth of the community.
