The Administration of the Sheriff’s Office consist of the Sheriff, and two Captains. The Captains are Section Chiefs leading the two major areas of the agency, i.e. Operations and Administration. The Captain leading the Operations section is the Chief Deputy for the agency. The Captain leading the Administration section is his parallel. This group is referred to as the agency's Executive Command.
Coordinate all activities of the agency and its appointees; disseminate and enforce rules and regulations of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Fluvanna County’s ordinances; responsible for budget and overall financial management of the Sheriff’s Office; complete and submit all reports as required by law.
Assist the Sheriff by promoting overall agency efficiency and effectiveness; supervising personnel under his command; and managing overall daily operations of the agency.
The Executive Command Staff is supported by the Executive Assistant, Administrative Deputy and Division Commanders.
Coordinate and process Agency files and records; responsible for accounts receivable and payable for Agency; payroll; and is an direct assistant to the Executive Command.
Administrative Services Deputy
Assist the Executive Officers by encompassing an electronic records system; research and data analysis; community relations; and other various tasks.
