Investigators play an important role within the Sheriff’s Office. They respond to major crime scenes, investigate serious felony cases and assist the Patrol Division with other investigations. The Investigators have specialized training in evidence collection, interrogation and interviewing techniques, fraud, identity theft and child abuse investigations. This division also includes a Narcotics Agent responsible for curtailing illegal drug actions within the County. The agent also works closely with other law enforcement agencies helping to make Fluvanna County a drug-free environment.
