Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, no criminal history and successfully complete a physical examination. Possess a current valid operator’s license. Open until filled. EOE Communications OfficerFluvanna County Sheriff's Office - E911is seeking a full time Communications Officer. This position is responsible for receiving, classifying, processing and dispatching all emergency andnon-emergency calls for service; assisting the public with information requests; and performing data entry. Must be dependable and thorough and able to work all shifts. Call-back coverage required for call-outs. Related experience preferred. High School graduate. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and spelling skills. Must possess (or demonstrate the ability to obtain) Communications Officer certification within one year of employment. Must possess (or demonstrate the ability to obtain) VCIN certification within six months of employment.
