The Civil Unit is responsible for service and execution of civil process in Fluvanna County, as directed by the courts. The 2-person unit serves papers such as:

• Eviction notices
• Civil and criminal subpoenas for victims,witnesses, and defendants
• Summonses for appearance in small claims court

The unit serves approximately 7-9,000 papers per year.

Records

The Records section serves as the central processing department for criminal justice records. Records is responsible for processing, maintaining, archiving, retrieving and releasing information and copies of reports in accordance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
